What’s included
All servicesDenver’s strong sun, hail and freeze-thaw swings are hard on siding, so what goes behind the boards matters as much as the boards themselves.
Fiber cement siding
Fiber cement lap, panel and shingle siding, such as James Hardie, that resists rot, pests and fire.
Engineered wood siding
LP SmartSide engineered wood: the look of wood, with a treated core made to resist rot and impact.
Vinyl siding
Vinyl siding for a lower-cost, low-maintenance finish, in the profile and colour that suit the house.
Wood & cedar siding
Cedar and other wood siding installed, or repaired and matched board for board, then sealed or painted.
Weather barrier & flashing
A new weather-resistive barrier lapped so water runs down and out, with flashing at windows, doors, deck ledgers and kick-out flashing where a roof edge meets a wall.
Rot & trim repair
Rotted boards, trim and soft sheathing cut out and replaced, and the leak that caused them found and fixed.
Hail damage repair
Cracked, split or dented siding replaced after a Denver hailstorm, matched to the rest of the house as closely as the available products allow.
Siding replacement
One wall or the whole house: old siding off, sheathing checked, then new barrier, flashing, siding and trim.
Painted to finish
New siding and trim painted with UV-resistant paints, or left in its factory finish. See Exterior Painting.

Common questions
Which siding is best for a Denver home?
It depends on the house, the budget and the look you want. Fiber cement and engineered wood hold up well to strong sun, hail and freeze-thaw cycles; vinyl costs less but can crack in hail and hard cold; cedar looks beautiful but needs regular sealing or paint. We talk through the options with you at the consultation.
Should I repair or replace my siding?
If the damage is limited to a few boards and the wall behind them is sound, a repair usually makes sense. If boards are failing across a wall, water has got behind them, or your siding is no longer made, replacing that wall or the whole house is often the better buy. We look it over with you and tell you which we’d do and why.
Do you repair hail damage on siding?
Yes. After a hailstorm we look the siding over, show you what we find and replace the damaged boards, matched to the rest of the house as closely as the available products allow.
What goes behind new siding?
A weather-resistive barrier (house wrap) lapped so water runs down and out, and flashing at windows, doors, deck ledgers and roof lines. When old siding comes off we check the sheathing and replace any rot before the new barrier goes on.
Will my HOA need to approve it?
Many HOAs review exterior changes such as colours, materials and additions. We prepare the drawings and material details your HOA asks for.
What warranty do you offer?
A 1-year workmanship warranty: for one year from completion, we repair at no cost any defect caused by our installation, including leaks from shower waterproofing we installed. Manufacturer warranties on the products we install pass through to you.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. We walk the space with you, listen to what you want and measure everything, and the consultation costs nothing.
