AP-4Questions

Common questions

What is aging-in-place remodeling?

Changes that make a home safe and easy to live in at any age or ability: curbless showers, grab bars, wider doorways, no-step entries and a first-floor bedroom and bath.

Will it look institutional?

No. Grab bars, showers and doorways are designed with the rest of the room, so the home still looks like home.

Can you turn a tub into a walk-in shower?

Yes. We take out the tub and build a walk-in or curbless shower in its place, on one complete waterproofing system that’s flood-tested before tile goes down.

Do you handle permits, plumbing and electrical?

Plumbing and electrical work is done by licensed tradespeople. We’ll tell you during the consultation whether your project needs a permit, and your proposal shows how permits are handled.

How do payments work?

Payments are tied to finished milestones listed in your proposal, so you’re never far ahead of the work.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. We walk the space with you, listen to what you want and measure everything, and the consultation costs nothing.
