Built for Colorado weather

Denver’s sun, hail, snow and dry air are hard on a building. The design has to plan for them from the start.

Design notesExteriors
  1. Strong sun

At this altitude the sun is intense. Deep eaves and UV-resistant finishes help keep colour and wood from fading.

  2. Snow & ice

Roof shapes, gutters and entries are drawn so snow slides away from doors and walkways, not onto them.

  3. Natural materials

Stone, timber and metal that weather well, chosen as one palette with the building.

  4. Indoors meets outdoors

Doors, patios and decks are lined up with the rooms inside, so the outdoors works like one more room.

EX-5How We WorkSheet 5 of 7

How a design comes together

  1. Free consultation

We walk the space with you, listen to what you want and measure everything. The consultation costs nothing.

  2. Measure & document

Every side of the building is measured and photographed as it is today, so the new design fits the real building.

  3. Concept & 3D

Sketches become a 3D model you can turn, compare materials in and see the light in, before anything is built.

  4. Drawings & proposal

A clear drawing set and a written, line-by-line proposal with scope, schedule and payment milestones. Any change is agreed in writing first.

  5. Built by the same team

The team that drew it builds it, ending with a final walkthrough together and a 1-year workmanship warranty on our installation.

EX-6QuestionsSheet 6 of 7

Common questions

Q.01

Can you redesign the exterior of an existing house?

Yes. We measure and photograph the house as it is, then draw and model the new exterior so you can compare options before any work starts.

Q.02

Do you design decks and covered patios?

Yes. New decks and deck rebuilds in wood or composite, railings in wood, metal and cable, covered patios and the landscaping that ties them together.

Q.03

Will my HOA need to approve the design?

Many HOAs review exterior changes such as colours, materials and additions. We prepare the drawings and material details your HOA asks for.

Q.04

Do you handle permits, plumbing and electrical?

Plumbing and electrical work is done by licensed tradespeople. We’ll tell you during the consultation whether your project needs a permit, and your proposal shows how permits are handled.

Q.05

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. We walk the space with you, listen to what you want and measure everything, and the consultation costs nothing.
